I adopted!

Hey you beautiful people.

A few days ago, I did something pretty cool. I adopted. You’re probably wondering, “Why is this girl adopting when she’s in her early twenties and she’s single?” Well. I believe this is the best time in your life to do something like this, so I went ahead and did it. I adopted someone, but not just any someone. I adopted a soldier.

I truly admire the people that go out and fight for our country. I am so grateful that these guys (and sometimes, girls) put their life on the line to protect what we, as Americans and human beings, have and deserve: Freedom.

This is why I decided to adopt a solider. I like the idea of making their day and spoiling them a little by sending letters and care packages. I applied to adopt a soldier with a friend of mine and we plan on shopping together for our boys.

I highly recommend you apply to adopt a soldier, if you can spare some money and time. I’ll write a post after I send my first letter/package and I’ll include the cost of what it was to send it in that post, as well. You could even get a group of your friends together and all adopt a soldier together. That way you can split the costs of shipping and goodies and make your soldier happy when they receive letters from more than one person. Plus, it would be a fun bonding thing to do with your friends. It’s a win-win situation.

There are some strict rules you have to abide by, though, but they aren’t too difficult to follow. They’re listed on the website. The main one is asking you to not tell others information about your solider (other than a first name). This is asked of you mostly in order to keep your solider safe. The rules are important, so please review them and make sure to stick to them!

I am beyond excited about this and I pray that my amazing readers will find it in their hearts to adopt one of these amazing people, as well!

Stay beautiful.
